One local team secured a state tournament berth Monday night while two others were scheduled to take to the court for region playoffs games this week, weather permitting. Games last night were postponed, and Wednesday’s games were also canceled.
The Georgia High School Association announced this week that the first round of the state tournament would be postponed until Feb. 19-20 so that region tournaments could wrap up Monday if necessary. All region playoffs are currently scheduled to end Saturday, but if games from this week are postponed due to weather the schedule would be extended.
