The New York Post is reporting that a Clinton “campaign operative” (potentially her mysterious “handler” who carries around a Diazepam pen…but that’s just a guess) made a decision to ignore Secret Service protocol which called for escorting Hillary to a Level I Trauma Center after her “medical episode” on Sunday. The decision to divert to Chelsea’s apartment was made to “avoid having Clinton seen by doctors, nurses and other medical workers who could leak details to reporters,” according to the Post. But why would the campaign be worried about a nurse leaking details of “pneumonia”? That’s a pretty common affliction and something the campaign has clearly decided to disclose anyway.
According to the Post, official Secret Service protocol called for escorting Clinton to Bellevue Hospital.
Hillary Clinton was headed to an emergency room following her frightening collapse at the Sept. 11 memorial ceremony — but detoured to daughter Chelsea Clinton’s apartment to keep details of her medical treatment under wraps, The Post has learned.
Secret Service protocol called for the Democratic presidential nominee to be rushed to a state-designated Level I Trauma Center in the wake of her Sunday-morning health crisis, sources said. In Manhattan, that would be Bellevue Hospital.
But a campaign operative decided to change course to avoid having Clinton seen by doctors, nurses and other medical workers who could leak details to reporters, according to a source.
In addition, Clinton’s van was supposed to be escorted by an NYPD detail, but the Secret Service whisked her away from Ground Zero before cops could accompany her, another source said.
But Clinton campaign spokesman Glen Caplin disputed the Post’s rendition of the story saying that after being dragged into the van Clinton made and sudden, if not miraculous, recovery.
“As soon as she got into the vehicle, she was feeling fine. Her preference was to go to Chelsea’s. Based on an assessment of her condition and after having conferred with her physician, the staff and the Secret Service thought it was appropriate.”
So if we understand correctly, the official story from the Hillary campaign is that just moments after losing all motor functions and having to be dragged into a van, Hillary, apparently allergic to the public eye, made a miraculous recovery within moments of regaining privacy and just decided to swing on by Chelsea’s place to play with the grand kids and chill? Moreover, within moments of seeing a presidential candidate collapse on a sidewalk, Secret Service agents were able to draw on their substantial medical expertise to determine that her ailments were not that serious? Sure, that all seems very reasonable.
But all these great Clinton health mysteries are sure to be solved within “the next couple of days” as Hillary’s team has confirmed they’re preparing to release “additional medical records.” Quick question, what preparation needs to be made? By definition, aren’t medical “records” historical documents that have already been prepared?
Clinton spokesman Brian Fallon said Bardack was preparing “additional medical records” to be made public “in the next couple days.”
“I can attest that it is the case that there is no other undisclosed condition. The pneumonia is the extent of it,” he told MSNBC.
He also admitted that Clinton’s latest health crisis was mishandled by staffers who kept reporters in the dark about her stumbling exit.
“I do think that in the 90 minutes that elapsed we could have gotten information out quickly,” Fallon conceded. “That’s on the staff. That’s on us. We regret it.”
And, of course, Hillary’s “pneumonia” was contagious and then it wasn’t. Clinton spokesman, Brian Fallon, also told the Post that he has an amazing immune system…he apparently caught Hillary’s super bug and was able to make a full recovery within days.
“I was sick for a couple of days. I had the mild form of it,” Fallon said.
The stricken staffers included campaign manager Robby Mook, and two top aides who needed emergency medical treatment — one of whom was taken by ambulance to a hospital emergency room after collapsing from severe dehydration, People magazine reported.
Fallon told CNN that Clinton’s pneumonia, which she is treating with antibiotics, was “not contagious.”
We can’t wait to see Hillary’s medical records. Something tells us that after the “records” are fully “prepared” they’ll paint a picture of a presidential candidate every bit as healthy as a 20 year old college student (though one who occasionally has coughing fits that last for months, blood clots, fainting spells and experiences negative side effects of a concussion that causes her to not “recall” entire months of her life).
