Later this morning, James Comey and others from the FBI and NSA will testify before the House Intelligence Committee on their investigation into the alleged ties between President Trump’s campaign and Russia (we previewed the hearing earlier here). But Trump decided to begin his assault before the hearing even got underway with another earlier morning tweet storm that is sure to cause yet another Mika meltdown.
In a pair of tweets, Trump blasted Democrats for pushing their “FAKE NEWS” narrative about Russian ties to his campaign and said, again, that the whole charade is just an excuse for “running a terrible campaign.”

Trump then set his sites once again on finding the folks behind the seemingly never ending intelligence leaks.

Of course, the punchline, or lack thereof, of Comey’s testimony may have been prematurely revealed last week when we noted that Democrats were secretly tempering expectations on The Hill that there was a ‘smoking gun’ forthcoming from the FBI. If that turns out to be the case, the only question then will become whether Democrats will finally drop the Russian narrative or simply conclude that Comey is just another secret Russian agent.
