Earlier today the US Capitol was on lockdown, with the all clear given just a few minutes later. Now, it’s time for the second such event of the day, when according to media reports there has been a nearby shooting prompting a police presence on location, just as US lawmakers prepares to leave for 7 week recess on Thursday, one day earlier than expected.

According to a Fox News correspondent two are already in custody so we expect the lockdown to be lifted momentarily.
