Texas Ebola Patient Dies

Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas announced that Thomas Eric Duncan
died Wednesday morning as the result of his infection with the
Ebola virus, according to the
Washington Post. The experimental treatment using the
oral anti-viral drug
brincidofovir obviously did not work, but that may have been
because it was administered after he had fallen critically ill. We
should know by next week if any of the folks with whom he came in
contact before being diagnosed will fall ill from the disease.
