The Coconut Creek, Florida, city council
has banned
most sales of dogs and cats in the city. The city joins a
growing list of cities in the region that have banned commercial
sales of dogs and cats. Officials say the ban will encourage the
adoption of pets from shelters and reduce sales from puppy
mills.
