President Obama recently made a speech calling
for reforming the NSA’s indiscriminate gathering of data on every
American. Sheldon Richmans suggests that the president’s track
record warrants deep skepticism, and he reminds readers that
politicians will do everything they can get away with pursuing
their own agendas. To them, liberty and privacy are unimportant
things to be gotten around with the minimum of public
attention.
