It is deeply ironic that just when Ireland, a Catholic nation, is handing women more control over their bodies, the United States is taking it away.
States all around the country are imposing new restrictions on abortion. And now on the pretext of preventing taxpayer dollars from going to fund abortions, President Trump is going after Planned Parenthood’s Title X dollars.
But notes Reason Foundation Senior Analyst Shikha Dalmia that if Trump wanted to defund Planned Parenthood it would be one thing. But he is using Title X funding to try and control how the outfit spends its private funds.
