Investors who were uneasy about slowing Chinese growth have just been handed the last thing they wanted to see: Reason to suspect that trade talks between the US and China aren’t working out as well as the president had initially suggested.
Stocks took another leg lower Tuesday afternoon after the Financial Times reported that the US had effectively canceled the next round of US-China trade talks, which were expected to take place between senior officials, including a delegation led by China’s Liu He, in Washington.
