One person is dead and several wounded after a stabbing incident at a Hamburg supermarket according to German news agency dpa and the Hamburg police.

As Focus adds, an unknown attacker indiscriminately attacked customers in a supermarket branch in the Hamburg district of Barmbek with a knife and killed a man.

The Hamburg police has confirmed the attack on Twitter. The attacker has now been arrested. There were no details behind the attack motive.
