As protesters rage at one another across the street in front of The Red Hen restaurant that White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders was ejected from over the weekend…

And Mitch McConnell’s wife is mobbed (to use Maxine Waters’ vernacular) in her driveway, one veteran Washington observer warned us “this is getting out of hand.“
Tonight we perhaps get confirmation of just how concerned many of the Republican Party are feeling as The Washington Times reports that Sarah Huckabee Sanders will soon start receiving Secret Service protection, according to multiple sources Tuesday evening.
Citing “two sources familiar with the decision,” CNN said the protection will start soon, possibly Wednesday.
NBC News reported similarly, as correspondent Peter Alexander tweeted that “the Secret Service will begin providing security at the home of [Mrs.] Sanders on a temporary basis.”

“For operational security purposes the Secret Service does not comment on its protective operations,” the Service told CNN.
Sanders will be the first press secretary ever to receive Secret Service protection.
The mobs around various high visibility Trump administration officials has escalate since Maxine Waters appeared to incite her ‘resistance’ to uncivil actions over the weekend:
She said, “If you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. Tell them they’re not welcome any more, anywhere!”
Since then, Republicans have denounced her comments and even brought up articles of censure and even Democrats have begun to distance themselves from the outspoken Californian congresswoman’s latest outbursts.
As The Hill reports, while some liberal commentators and progressive activists have voiced support for Waters, few if any Democrats in Congress back her tactics.
“The worst. What has happened to our country,” one fellow House Democrat said of Waters’s call to action.
“Each member has got to decide for his or herself. I wouldn’t do it,” said Rep. G.K. Butterfield (D-N.C.), who like Waters is a past chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC).
“That’s a tactic she has chosen. … I have my own tactics,” added another CBC member, Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.).
“I speak on the floor. I speak at events as far as what our secretaries are doing to roll back regulations. Different people have different ways of expressing themselves, their displeasure and their disgust.”
But of course, as officials from both sides of the aisle decry Waters’ comments, the whole issue just became about race… and is potentially tearing the Democratic party apart too.
As The Daily Caller reports, Angela Rye, former executive director of the Congressional Black Caucus, defended Rep. Maxine Waters on CNN, first saying she is being attacked because her words are so scary and powerful:
“I think the big difference is what regularly happens to Congresswoman Waters because her words are so powerful and for whatever reason, the Republicans and apparently, some Democrats are threatened by her power and her courage, her words are not only taken out of context, she’s misquoted,” Rye said.
Forward to 19:10…
And then playing the race card…
“The fact that Chuck Schumer called what a black woman said un-American is problematic and this is the reason why Democrats have a hard time reuniting the base — it has everything to do with the fact this black woman is is intimidating to some people who can’t handle the truth. It has everything to do with it,” Rye said.
Even host Erin Burnett was stunned at this, but Rye retorted: “It has everything to do with race.”
Returning to our veteran Washington observer’s comments at the start, it is indeed getting out of hand, and as he concluded our call, “someone is going to end up dead before this is over.” We are afraid he is right.
And we are sure this ad from The GOP won’t help…
