Trump had some harsh words for the Republican establishment last night during an interview with Bill O’Reilly of Fox News. Asked whether he thought he would get the support of the GOP if elected Trump said, “Yes”, although speculated that Ryan would lose his speakership position saying “maybe he’ll be in a different position.” In the end, Trump concludes “So look, I don’t want his support, I don’t care about his support.“
“They’ll be there. I would think that Ryan maybe wouldn’t be there, maybe he’ll be in a different position.”
“The fact is, I think we should get support and we don’t get the support from guys like Paul Ryan.”
“He had a conference call yesterday with congressmen with hundreds of them and they practically rioted against him on the phone. One person stuck up for him. So I’m just tired of nonsupport and I don’t really want his support.”
“This happens all the time – if you sneeze [Ryan] calls up and announces, ‘Isn’t that a terrible thing.’ So look, I don’t want his support, I don’t care about his support.“
Of course, the remarks come after a Trump tweet storm yesterday in which he called out Paul Ryan and said it was “so nice that the shackles have been taken off.”
Our very weak and ineffective leader, Paul Ryan, had a bad conference call where his members went wild at his disloyalty.

It is so nice that the shackles have been taken off me and I can now fight for America the way I want to.

Later in the evening Trump turned his attention to other “disloyal R’s” saying they’re “far more difficult than Crooked Hillary” and called out McCain directly saying he “begged for my support during his primary (I gave, he won), then dropped me over locker room remarks!”
Disloyal R’s are far more difficult than Crooked Hillary. They come at you from all sides. They don’t know how to win – I will teach them!

The very foul mouthed Sen. John McCain begged for my support during his primary (I gave, he won), then dropped me over locker room remarks!

Meanwhile, per Politico, Trump’s campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, expressed frustration over the GOP’s “wishy-washy” support and said now is the time to declare whether you do or do not support the Trump campaign.
“Well we want the support of anybody who’s going to publicly endorse us. But enough of the pussyfooting around in terms of, you know, do you support us or do you not support us?” Conway said Wednesday morning on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” “The fact is that some of these leaders have been wishy-washy.”
We have to admit, Paul Ryan’s strategy is a bit perplexing and unprecedented. Like it or not, Trump was nominated by the Republican party so it seems that the time for opposing his candidacy has long passed. Certainly Democrats have stuck by Hillary through worse scandals than a video tape revealing a potty mouth.
